Thanksgiving at the Thompson's

We had a great day celebrating a day of "gratitude" for the freedoms we enjoy as a Nation. The "old" & "young" boys played in their annual football game at the Simas' and then we headed over to Granite Bay for a day of food, games, and especially good company! We were truly blessed to be surrounded by family.

Halloween Festivities

We went to a party last night dressed up as "Team Thompson"...take note that Kendal & I(Kelly) are in Jessi's high hchool cheerleading uniforms! Not bad for a 36 yr. old body with 4 kids!

Football Season is Over

The end of the line has come for the boys and their exciting football year...what will we do with our free time? We are very proud of the Thompson Team, that includes Coach Rick, and the heart they put into the sport! Chris is #17...look at him compared to the guy on the other team shaking his hand!

Hawaiian Vacation

continuing my journal...We spent monday at the beach and then went to Wahoo's for dinner and headed to Waikiki for some shopping at the International Market and a little cheesecake at 11:30 pm. Lonnie's favorite saying on the trip has been, "man, this is a long day..!" We spent tuesday at North Shore sunning and body boarding then we picked up our friends son,Tommy Barrett(he's going to BYU here), and went to the famous Kahuku Shrimp truck for some fresh shrimp as well as to Matsumoto's for some original shaved ice! The waves were so good, we went back to Sunset Beach on wednesday...much to their disappointment, the waves were not as impressive as the day before so Rick & Phil headed out with the "Big Dogs" to the Point to catch some serious waves. We did some more shopping, ate Mochi, and played "up/down" (a new card game). Today has been a perfect day...I walked along the beach and was sunning by 10:30; Rick played tennis and then joined me for lunch at a cafe on the beach and we enjoyed the rest of the day reading, swimming, and a little snorkeling! I am very sad to be leaving tomorrow but am looking forward to seeing our kids!

Aloha from Hawaii

Rick & I are enjoying a peaceful vacation in Ko'olina with my sister Kristen & husband Lonnie, and their friends Phil & Allison Graham from Utah. Our first stop on the island was of course Costco for a few provisions for teh week...then on to the timeshare to unpack and hit the beach. We spent ALL day saturday relaxing on the beach...we read books, played in the water, slept, and walked the beach. I have forgotten what it is like to spend time together without threat of kids, work, or church dividing our attention! I am in heaven!! We went to church and then headed for Jevin's favorite Makapu'u beach (& Sandy beach), for a little boarding and body surfing! We hiked around Pali Lookout and acted like teenagers! People looked at us like we were nutty...if they only knew we had 16 kids between the 3 couples! We were in stitches!! My mom, on the other hand, has been dealing with very sick kids since we left...Carsyn started throwing up thursday night before we left and Chris, Kyle, and Jack got sick saturday night. My mom is a good sport...I owe her big time!!I hope she has seen the worst of it! I can't download pictures from here so you'll have to wait for them, but I'll update the trip as we go. I am out the door to the beach for some more sun!

Carsyn had her Kindergarten Rodeo today at school. I couldn't find her cowgirl outfit so we had to improvise...she still looked adorable anyway! she had no problem rounding up a couple of handsome cowboys!!!

Harley Davidson Dealership

Rick is finally done with the 50,000 sq. foot dealership he has been supervising for the past 8 months...it is impressive! He's good!!!
