"King of the Hill"

Chris and his PGJE Pee Wee team, with Rick as offensive coordinator, crushed their way to become undefeated champions of their division! Chris had a phenomenal year playing nose guard and defensive tackle. He averaged 5 tackles per game for the season and has loved every minute of it! Rick is quite the coach, he enjoys being in the middle of action! Cole was on the field too, giving encouragement and being "the water boy". Those boys loved having a high school football player on their sidelines!! I am so proud of them! Carsyn and I cheered them on with every offensive yard gained or defensive stop! Sad to see the season come to an end!

Cole's Surgery

Cole had an emergency appendectomy friday morning at 1:00 am after playing the entire 4th quarter of his football game thursday evening! What a tough kid!! he complained of a stomach ache before seminary but went anyway and then went to school and on to his football game. I guess it was hurting him during warm-ups but not enough to keep him from playing the game...he said he was too distracted when he was playing to be bothered by the pain. by the time he got home, after chris' practice mind you, he was hurting terribly so he walked over to see my dad. After my dad, and mom, had diagnosed him, they called Rick to tell him to call the Dr. I didn't find out until 9:00 when I called Rick to see what was going on and he responded with "we're waiting for the surgeon to call back"! I thought Rick was kidding because just as he said that, I heard cole moan...this is typical joking around for Rick so I made him put my mom on the phone to be sure he wasn't pulling my leg. I brought Kendal home and we were off the hospital! Good riddance, appendix! He is back to school today after 5 days of taking it easy. I am grateful to good doctors, my dad, and a speedy recovery:)

First Snow

After the storm

Loving the snow

Our drive home!

Can you say "goof-balls"

"CD"

"Moe"

"O Snap Jacob"

We were in Tahoe for the first storm of the year! Cole took up two friends with him and they kept getting their snow gear on and running outside when the snow was heavy. Of course there was only about 2" where we were, but they had a great time "grass sledding" down the hill! Rick and I enjoyed the warmth of the fire and looking out over the beautiful lake.

Homecoming!

I remember watching Rick's sisters get ready for the homecoming dance! Time flies, doesn't it?!

Battle Wounds

It's the name of the game...Chris got these bruises during football practice! He may have been out of commission for a few plays, but the other guy was done for the night. He is quite proud of them, even his ear is black & blue. He may not be big, but he is TOUGH! Good game today Buddy! You are so fun to watch!!!!

Silver Lake

We spent the extended Labor Day weekend at Silver Lake with Mimi, Papa, and the Ferguson clan! We had a wonderful time "roughing" it; propane lighting and a generator:) the cabin was one of Rick's Grandpa Doug's greatest joys! We hiked 2 miles up to Granite Lake-Carsyn, Jane, & Jack were troopers!! The guys took Nicole & I on a canoe ride across the lake, it was a smooth ride until my 2 boys come around the point on the Sea-Doos...I'll never forget that mischievious look on Chris' face! We all started screaming "NO", but luckily he just made some waves; Cole on the other hand flooded the canoe!! Poor Rick had on the last of his clean/dry clothes! We all had a good laugh, but things would have been quite different if he had tipped us over...we would have had to swim to shore!! I love making memories with the family.
